What is Zero Waste Network?
ZWN is an online directory that aims to profiles community and business initiatives that promote waste reduction through their services and products or business practices. It focuses on preventing waste by strategically redesigning the life cycles of Earth’s precious resources through the 5Rs practises (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rot).
With Zero Waste Network, you can now locate recyclables waste drop off spots, community composting facilities, bulk food stores, second hand clothing stores and repair hubs – just to name a few.
Goal
To build a zero-waste society via carbon footprint reduction and improve resource efficiency
How does it work?
1. Click on one of the colorful icons and select the category you wish to search for. Example: select “E-waste”
2. Find the drop-off point/ recycling centers near your house/ office from the left panel (sort by name) OR from the map (by location).
3. Check the contact details and special remarks for the selected company/ facility
📌Tips! Remember to call up the facilities to check on the latest updates (e.g. operation hours/ type of collections) prior to your visit!
